Me and my mother are boarded in an annex on Delkada Kekulawata Mawatha. We cook and eat. Mother brings food every day. One day I also went to Delkada market with my mother

It was the Sunday fair at Delkanda junction. My mother always makes it a point to visit this fair in oder to buy the village products. Last Sunday I too accompanied her to see this  exciting market. There were such a lot of vendors both men and women on either side of the  road leading to this fair, seated with the fresh vegetables and fruits brought from their own village. There were rare kinds of fruits and leaves which had medicinal value.

The place was crowded with people and there was not enough space to move. Vendors were shouting and inviting customers to their stalls. There were fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, pots and ornaments, ice cream etc...  The place was a hive of activity. It created the true picture of a typical village market.
